Wax is cheap and gives a quick shine, but washes off within months. A ceramic coating bonds to the paint and lasts for years. Let’s look at when each makes sense.
Wax
A warm shine and easy to apply, but a short lifespan. Good if you want a quick result and aren’t after long-term protection.
Ceramic coating
A harder, water-repellent, durable layer. It protects from UV, dirt and light scratches and makes upkeep easier. It needs thorough preparation, but pays off.
For a classic car, where the paint is expensive and hard to replace, we almost always recommend a ceramic coating.
